At My Community Dental Centers, the ideal candidate for a Patient Experience Representative (PER) role is someone who understands and can deliver excellent Customer Service over the phone.

 

The Patient Experience Representative is a patient-focused role that operates in a call center environment. At My Community Dental Centers, we want people to feel welcomed and proud to become patients. We are committed to the growth of our employees in coaching and developing them to succeed and provide the best care possible.

 

Someone in this role must be able to operate efficiently while maintaining excellent communication and accuracy. Main tasks will be performed with use of dental software, online websites, and communication with patients and other team members. Additionally, the PER will provide timely support to all MCDC dental clinics, working to meet the needs of MCDC and patients. An individual in this role must exercise independent judgement and discretion in completing new patient registrations and assignments. The PER will work closely with all Front Desk and Office Manager team members for all MCDC dental offices.

Responsibilities

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as first point of contact for all incoming new patients
  • Be primary person to answer phones in a call center environment
  • Provide high level of exceptional patient experience through all communications
  • Provide successful interactions with potential patients
  • Accurately collect, communicate, and enter patient information
  • Accurately register and schedule new patients for appointments
  • Verification of dental insurance using websites and working with MCDC insurance department
  • Communicate with language services to support patients when necessary
  • Provide admin support to all MCDC dental centers
  • Fulfill scheduling requests as directed
  • Effectively navigate patient concerns
  • Assist patients in navigating and upholding MCDC standards and policies
  • All other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Exceptional communications and human-relations skills
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communications skills
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Maintain friendly demeanor with patients and MCDC staff
  • Manage multiple priorities
  • Handle and work with interruptions
  • Handle conflict and maintain professionalism at all times
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and dental software
  • Equipment utilized in call center environment: phones, fax, printer, etc.

  • Minimum two years of experience in customer service preferred
