    Position Summary

     

    The Regional Manager (RM) reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and works closely with regions’ Office Managers (OMs) on day-to-day operations. The primary focus of the position is to ensure each location within the assigned region is functioning at the highest level to deliver quality dental services in a patient centered environment. This involves oversight of the administrative and operational practices for each center, incorporating the organization’s balanced approach to exceptional patient satisfaction and excellent quality of care while maintaining a positive margin. Performance will be measured by successfully meeting regional and organizational goals.

    Responsibilities

    Typical Duties and Responsibilities

    •  Coach and develop OMs while also supporting center staff. Examples include but are not limited to guiding understanding of center metrics and goals by communicating clear expectations and direction for improvement when needed.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor plans for employee development including orientation, training, and performance evaluation processes.
    • Perform site visits at each center. Site visits to be conducted on a regular schedule and in a manner that demonstrates a responsible use of employee time and organizational resources.
    • Develop and implement action plans when necessary to source new dental center patients.
    • Work collaboratively with OMs and the COO in all matters regarding compliance with MCDC policy and procedures.
    • In conjunction with OMs, review financial and productivity reports to maximize utilization of resources and ensure optimal functioning of each office. Examples include but are not limited to chair utilization, direct care expenses, and equipment purchases and repairs.
    • Review quality and patient experience reports to monitor performance with OMs and identify opportunities for improvement. Examples include, but are not limited to patient retention, status of treatment plans, patient complaints, etc.
    • Ensure centers are conducting staff meetings, huddles, inter-office communications, etc. which are conducive to the centers’ success, a productive use of employee time, and company resources.
    • Collaborate with the COO, Human Resources (HR), and OMs to attain optimal center staffing levels. This includes evaluating and approving the need for changes in
    • Assist OM and the HR Department in the hiring process for new employees. Screen applicants, and if requested, be present for on-site interviews. Provide HR with the necessary follow-up forms in a timely
    • Work in conjunction with the Director of Community and Governmental Affairs to insure collaborative and beneficial relationships with MCDC partners.
    • Direct involvement in existing center renovations or new center openings from early planning stages to ensure proper and successful layout, equipment, patient flow and staffing.
    • Reinforce positive communication between the centers and administrative office.

    Qualifications

    Job Specification

    •  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or
    • Management experience in a healthcare environment, dental preferred
    • Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, may be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
